BRYC Girls Fastpitch Softball

Summer Play

FCGSL     Registration

Are you having so much fun playing softball this spring that you don’t want the season to end?  Well, you don’t have to stop playing in June.  In summer, BRYC often sponsors teams in the Fairfax County Girls Softball League (FCGSL).  These teams are for players who want to further develop their softball skills and continue playing softball during the summer.  These are not select teams, but often select players get their start by playing on these teams. The teams are formed only for the summer, and disband before the fall season.

The summer season runs from approximately mid-June through the last week in July.  Teams will play approximately 12 to 24 games over 6 weeks.  Teams play one or two weeknight double headers.  Practices will be determined by the Coach, and are usually weekday late afternoons or weekend afternoons.

The number of BRYC teams that we field depends upon the number of players with interest and the number of parents willing to coach.   In 2010, we are fielding a 16u summer team.

What is Fairfax County Girls Softball League?

FCGSL is a voluntary, nonprofit organization whose primary purpose is to establish and supervise an educational, training, and competitive recreational program of girls' softball.  The program is available to all persons who, desiring to participate, are eligible according to the rules and guidelines established by FCGSL.  Check out their website at www.fcgsl.org.

Registration

Registration is handled by the coach of each team.
